Katapult Productions was set up in 2010 by members of the Kent branch of actor's union, Equity.
The idea originated from Michael Wheatley Ward, Chairman of of Sarah Thorne Productions, who suggested that members of the local Equity branch form their own production company.
The ethos of the group is one of continuous and shared experience, providing an outlet for professional actors to utilise their skills through an independent performing initiative.
From their first production The Root of All Evil in September 2010, Dick Barton Special Agent 2011-2012 Mr Micawber 2012 ON THE HALLS 2013-2014 ,and their current productions It'sa long long way to Tipperary from Flanders Fields 2014-15 and their new show opening at the Sarah Thorne Theatre Company on Sat 10th Oct 2015 The Frogman and the Diva the group have not failed to deliver and have received glowing reviews from local and national press.
